April ends with the first 5 compartments fully glassed, and me waiting for final quotes for timber

First 4 compartments done from the stern:

Using the Low viscosity resin from ChinaWind may mean having to roll over the glass later on to fill in the weave completely, but I'm not sure that will have any mechanical benefit. It does wet out very easily, though, and I like the slight colouration imparted by the slow hardener.

I also found that working without peel ply lets me see  & remove any airbubbles more easily: As a novice, some re-positioning is almost always necessary, and this tends to open up the odd void to be rollered out.

Then I reached the cockpit section which needs some floor timbers installing, so I've moved forward to glass the stem first & work back towards the cockpit while waiting for the timbers

Stem compartment was a bit tight, but sticking to the 300ml mixed batches has so far meant no wasted epoxy, and the ability to smoothe everything nicely before it becomes unworkable. I ended up using FLAG rather than LV epoxy here with the medium hardener; the glass cloth now shows as much paler, and took 50% longer to wet out on the laying-up table.

Finally, I decided to glue in a support at the stem, cut to shape & dry-fitted before being finally positioned. Now out of epoxy & awaiting next batch before getting started again in May
