Once again, apologies for the delayed updates. Nothing has changed on the slipper, but the canoe has now been finished, all bar a couple of coats of varnish on the trim.
Hmm, hope it's just the photo angle, but the bow deck looks a bit squint in this view...
The canoe is actually 3 feet shorter than the slipper but perspective below indicates otherwise:
I'm hoping to get going on the interior of the slipper over the winter, but December is always full-on at work, so how much actually gets built is anyone's guess.
Sporadic updates are likely over the next 3-4 months, so I anyone is still checking in periodically, your efforts may not be quite as vain as they have in recent months.
I'd also like to thank Greg (again) for acting as a sounding board when I had a wobbly and wondered if I'd be better going for electric propulsion on the slipper, but the unconventional approach I originally decided on still offsets the reduced range, extra cost and excess weight of loading her up with batteries (even if it would have theoretically given a better weight distribution) |
